Baltimore drop-off centers, bulk pickup, and where construction debris goes
Bulk pickup: 3 items a month
City residents get one bulk Saturday a month, up to 3 items. Call 311 at least four working days ahead and mark the items “bulk collection” by 7 am. No building materials: sheetrock, siding, wood pieces and roofing are refused.
Residential drop-off centers: free with city ID
Bring household trash, furniture, appliances, scrap metal, tires without rims and electronics at no charge, in a car, unmodified van or minivan, or an unmodified pickup no bigger than 3/4 ton. Limit: 2 loads a day, 5 a week.

Construction debris: Quarantine Road only, $135 a ton
Residents may take construction and demolition debris only to the Quarantine Road Landfill, where it costs $135 per ton (since November 1, 2025). It must be sorted by material and free of asbestos and lead-based materials. In a city where most homes predate 1960, that last rule matters: test old plaster, flooring and paint before demolition.
